Southern Farm & Garden magazine published a 16+ page feature on pecans in the Fall/Winter 2016 issue. Kellen pitched several stories and provided editorial services for features including the NPSA Pecan Chefs Summit with two articles: the nutrition article with Carolyn O’Neil and the “Pecan Burger” article with Chef Leif Benson. The publication featured several nationally renowned chefs including Vivian Howard, A Chef’s Life on PBS and chef Jean-Paul Bourgeois, Executive Chef at Blue Smoke restaurant in New York and the book “The Pecan – A History of America’s Native Nut” by James McWilliams. The magazine is distributed in highly targeted outlets including Whole Foods, Barnes and Noble as well as smaller independent book stores.
Kellen secured editorial in the June 2016 issue of Pecan South magazine for the NPSA Pecan Chefs Summit. The three-page article plus cover (the Crunch Pecan Crusted Lamb image) included recipes with professional images captured at the event plus testimonials from chefs such as Keith Schroeder, nutritionist and media expert, Carolyn O’Neil and our very own NPSA Chairman Bruce Caris of Green Valley Pecan Company. This was the first time NPSA has graced the cover of this important industry trade publication.
