Every time your Board of Directors meets in person, it’s an opportunity to leverage that meeting as a sponsorship opportunity, bringing in additional revenue for your organization. Think about the associate members– consultants, suppliers and others– who support your industry. Then think about how beneficial it would be for them if they had the opportunity to meet one on one and then present for a minute or two to your Board members in a closed setting. Permit the sponsor to send an email in advance, bring one or two representatives to network over breakfast, pass out collateral and then provide a brief “commercial” before the formal agenda opens. Then they can leave and your Board can begin the meeting. How much would that be worth to your sponsors?
