How many times have you solicited sponsorship from member companies only to be told, “It’s not in the budget”? Have you looked at assets your member companies could add to your association like meeting space, interns or junior staff, printing capability, etc.? Instead of taking no for an answer the next time you ask someone to buy a sponsorship, turn it into a resource for your association in getting free meeting room space, help with a research project, or assistance in printing agendas. With a little creativity and open dialogue, the options are endless.
