Having a long-term relationship with a client can lead to invaluable benefits for both your company and the organization you work with. At Kellen, we have worked with some of our clients for decades, which have allowed us to truly understand their industries, goals and strengths. It has also allowed us to establish an open and honest working relationship with the leaders of the associations as we experience successes and overcome challenges together.
One of Kellen’s longest-standing client relationships is the Copper Development Association (CDA). CDA has been a Kellen client for more than 25 years. Over time, we have become so well versed in the copper industry and in a sense have become copper experts ourselves. For nearly 15 of those years, Andy Kireta, Sr. served as CDA’s President and CEO; with his retirement this past January, we look back on an outstanding and rewarding client bond.
Developing a solid relationship with Kireta over the years forged a collaborative partnership with CDA and enabled us to take more risks and introduce new programs on their behalf. After years of building trust and working in unison, we were able to help the client step into new territories.
During Kireta’s time at the helm, Kellen helped CDA launch numerous innovative copper programs including the Antimicrobial Copper and Sustainable Energy programs. Scientific research into copper’s effectiveness in reducing hospital-acquired infections led to peer-reviewed papers. As a result, copper components have been installed at medical facilities throughout the country, and CDA has received both local and national news coverage. The Sustainable Energy program has promoted the benefits of copper in renewable energy production and given a voice to CDA on Capitol Hill. Another initiative, such as the creation of a North American Copper in Architecture awards program, provided a platform to showcase the most outstanding building projects designed with copper. We’ve also launched a popular DIY video series that demonstrates proper copper application techniques, which has garnered millions of views on the association’s YouTube channel.
Kellen’s enduring relationship with Kireta and CDA allowed us to develop many successful marketing, communication and educational campaigns. We wish Andy Kireta, Sr. the best in his retirement, and look forward to our continued relationship with CDA.
