Looking to drum up registration for an upcoming event? Use the people you already have coming. Send your speakers a “donut” or “Swiss cheese” press release that they can personalize and send to media outlets. Give them a template email that they can forward along to their business contacts with the title “Come hear me speak at X event!” Send them example tweets they can use before, during and after the event. Potential attendees will see that the speaker is excited and will sign themselves up!
