Too many times event marketing and promotion becomes a knee jerk reaction with last minute discounts and frantic desperation to get people in the seats. Before you get yourself into this pit of despair, build your plan starting from the start of the event. First identify your financial and attendance goals, early bird deadlines and hotel cut offs. Create messaging on a calendar with set space between each message. Create a solid plan that effectively displays the success of your event while giving people enough notice to save on Early Bird registrations and group rates at your meeting hotel. Once you’ve backed out your marketing efforts to around 4-6 weeks, set your schedule and roll out your messaging for a successful event!
