CHICAGO (July 5, 2017) – Two clients of Kellen, a global leader in association and communications services, have won Silver and Bronze medals in the 2017 Digital Health Awards for their cutting-edge digital programs, namely the Society for Vascular Medicine (SVM) and American Pediatric Surgical Association (APSA). The Digital Health Awards are organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC) and honor the best in digital resources worldwide. Kellen’s digital division serves associations and nonprofits worldwide, offering digital marketing, social media marketing, and website design and development.
“We are honored for the work to be recognized by HIRC,” said Peter Rush, Kellen Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “Our extensive experience in the medical and healthcare sectors combined with the knowledge, skills and creativity of our experts allow for exciting innovations for clients.”
SVM was awarded the Bronze medal for the “Deep Vein Thrombosis Toolkit” (https://mydeepveinthrombosis.com/), a digital health site that provides information to medical offices and patients seeking a streamlined, easy and efficient way to learn about and manage the condition. Separately, Kellen provided editorial management and, with APSA volunteers, coordinated the digital implementation of the APSA Pediatric Surgery Not a Textbook (“NaT”) (https://www.pedsurglibrary.com/apsa) program, which was awarded the Silver medal. The platform, developed by Unbound Medicine, serves as a comprehensive mobile resource for pediatric surgeons and their patients.
“Our team is always looking for creative ways to help bring our clients to the next level – offering new ways to communicate with members and key constituencies and deliver information in the most efficient way possible while driving the organization’s mission forward,” said Greg Schultz, Executive Vice President, Kellen.
Kellen provides full-service association management for SVM and APSA as well as communications, creative and digital services to the organizations.
